Two classes and taking suggestions for the annual service project

1: I'm doing another round of the email class "Release the Yelling" this month. The first time was too long, and the second time seemed a tad too short, so this time I'm reformatting to do three weeks of emails, M-F only (so no thinking on weekends--ha!). Past participants have said this really made them think about the yelling they do and be able to put it into context so they could stop doing it so much or at least make peace with it.

The class will run October 8 through October 28. (The exam period to see how well you did will be Halloween weekend, when your kids are all jacked up on candy and misbehaving.)

Cost: US$21. Cheap. Sign up here.

2: NYC women: If you remember the affirming life and attitude changes I had when I took the burlesque class with Howling Vic back last fall, you'll know it's something worth taking. She's starting a new class next Monday night (6 Mondays in a row), and still has two spaces left. I highly, highly recommend this as a way to get comfortable with your body or sexuality or just to do something to break out of the rut.

All the info is here: http://www.howlingvic.com/teaching.php

(She's also running a few one-day intros to burlesque, if you're not ready for the full deal yet.)

Annual service project: For the last few years, we've been doing an Ask Moxie reader service project in December in which you all suggest projects we should support as a group, and I pick two. One you can support by sending money, and the other you support by doing something, like sending cards or other items.

I've waited until the last minute in past years, but this year I'd like to get a head start in choosing. So please make suggestions. Last year we did Operation Holiday Card and Earth Birth. I tend to favor smaller charities, so our group can make a bigger impact for them. But all suggestions welcome.
